Tokyo 2022
In April 2022, May 35th was staged at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, beautifully translated by acclaimed Japanese playwright Nen Ishihara. Produced by P Company and directed by Yuko Matsumoto, the Japanese adaptation brought this powerful story of memory and resistance to life for Japanese audiences. The production was honoured later that year with the prestigious "Odashima Yushi Translated Drama Award," celebrating its impact and excellence in translation.
